Mainnet was the first crypto conference held in New York since the covid-19 pandemic. It's one such event where crypto enthusiasts look up to. The summit gathers crypto leaders, operators, builders, and investors for three days of future-focused collaboration
What Happened? Ryan Selkis, The organizer of the event and Messari founder tweeted he will run for senate position as he was pissed when SEC members barged in and gave a subpoena( a writ ordering a person to attend the court) to a speaker at the event right before he went on to the stage.
The After Effect? This confirmed that there is a growing tension between securities regulators and crypto lending programs and SEC is not just targeting one person here but various DeFi projects
