Mars group launches Bored Ape-Themed M&M's in partnership with KINGSHIP
It's time to eat some bored apes!
You heard it right. American confectionery manufacturer Mars Inc announced launching a Bored Ape Yacht Club collection themed M&M's in partnership with the Universal Music Group (UMG) label 10:22PM. Such a cool way to promote 'mass' adoption!
The M&M's are based on KINGSHIP, and Mars will sell 10,000 packages of candies in gift boxes and gift tins.
Kingship is a "metaverse band" backed by music industry giant Universal Music Group, comprised of four characters from the Bored-and-Mutant Yacht Club NFT universes. Notably, each band member is supposed to have a unique personality.
The band has also released its own NFT "key cards" to provide exclusive benefits. NFT owners obviously have early access to products on M&M'S website.
"KINGSHIP is a group dedicated to the art of storytelling, so it was a great opportunity for us to both pay homage to rock'n'roll history, and one of the greatest bands of all time, but also create a unique fan experience for those that have joined this community at the start of their journey," said Celine Joshua, founder of 10:22PM and the creator of KINGSHIP.
The commercial rights thing is getting really interesting. Bored Ape images have also been used for fast food outlets, alcohol and marijuana packaging, clothing, collectibles, and more. We can't wait to see what comes next!

Samsung to Launch Crypto Exchange in 2023
From opening a virtual store in Decentraland to adding NFT functionality to its smart TVs, Samsung has been seriously betting on blockchain technology for the past few years.
Last year, Samsung's attempts to launch a crypto exchange were disrupted because they could not hire the right professionals. But the tech giant is not giving up.
According to recent reports, Samsung's investment firm (Samsung Securities) is considering launching a cryptocurrency exchange of its own next year.
Samsung is not alone. Mirae Asset Securities and five other domestic companies are also planning the same.
These entities are reportedly working together with South Korean financial bodies to gain licence, and the discussions are said to be in their final stages.
