Blockchain has the power to connect, to change the world, to make the world more equitable and more open. It can foster greater financial inclusion, unlock economic participation and democratise financial services. Women, and all marginalised populations, should have equal access to the global financial system. Blockchain can create that system - accessible and open. Empower people left out by the infrastructure of today.
Women are often blocked from traditional financial services. A lot of factors contribute to that - cultural, formal sector employment, financial education and access to financial services. Women are at the heart of health and growth of the global economy. Financial inclusion can uplift women, families, and communities out of poverty by giving them access to building assets. Greater participation in the labour market, more female entrepreneurs and women-led businesses can bring about a healthier and equitable world.
The modern day reality is that there is a huge disparity in the financial system. Blockchain can change that - bridge the gap with the four pillars of change - education, opportunities, culture and inclusion.

Why are women being shut out of Web3?
The web3 has a gender diversity problem, we all know that. The report by BCG X along with People of Crypto Lab, puts down the glaring numbers in perspective.
Only 13% of Web3 startups include a female founder.
Within that group, 10% of founding teams include both men and women, and only 3% of companies have a team that is exclusively female.
All-male founding teams raise nearly 4x as much, on average, as all-female teams (almost $30 million compared to about $8 million).
Among companies that have raised more than $100 million, the percentage with all-female founding teams is zero.

Blockchain technology can be a transformative tool for empowering women in all socio-economic situations worldwide. It can generate significant opportunities for women around the world, and it's empowering women in developing economies.
